Betting rules

How a bet is accepted, and how it is settled.

1. Accepting a bet
  • Every selection is re-priced on our server when the bet arrives. If the price has moved against you, the bet is refused and you are shown the new price; if it has moved in your favour, it is accepted at the better price.
  • A suspended selection, or one no longer offered, cannot be bet on.
  • Prematch bets are accepted up to the scheduled start. Once an event has started, bet on it in-play.
  • A bet is confirmed only when it appears on My bets with a bet reference.
2. Settlement
  • Bets are settled on the official result at the end of the event, including any added time, unless the market states otherwise.
  • Half-time and period markets are settled on the score at the end of that period.
  • Handicap and total markets whose line lands exactly on the result are void, and the stake is returned. Quarter lines are split into two halves, each settled separately.
  • In a multiple, a void leg is removed and the remaining legs stand at their original prices.
3. Tennis
  • Match bets are settled on the winner of the match once it has been completed.
  • If a player retires or is disqualified before the match is completed, match bets are settled by our team; unfinished set and game markets are void.
4. Abandoned and postponed events

If an event is abandoned and not completed, markets whose outcome was already decided stand; all others are void. An event postponed and not played within 48 hours of its scheduled start is void.

5. Obvious errors

If a price or a market was clearly wrong when a bet was accepted — a price offered in error, or a result already known — we may settle the bet at the correct price or void it. We will always tell you why.
