Terms
How Stakepoint works, in plain words.
You must be 18 or over. One account per person. The balance on your account is credit for use on this platform.
We may suspend or close an account. If we do, the reason is recorded against it and we will tell you what it was.
A price on the board can change at any time, including between you clicking it and the bet reaching us. When it has moved against you, the bet is refused and you are shown the new price to accept or decline. When it has moved in your favour, the bet is accepted at the better price.
Every bet is priced by us at the moment it is received. The price shown on your slip is what we check against, not what we settle on.
A selection that is suspended, withdrawn, or has no price cannot be backed. If a bet is accepted on a market that should not have been offered, it is void and the stake returned.
Bets are settled from the result of the fixture as our feed reports it, once the fixture has finished. Where the result cannot be established automatically, the bet is settled by a person and their decision is recorded.
A void selection is returned at even money and, on a multiple, drops out of the accumulator. Asian quarter lines split the stake, half at the price and half returned.
If a bet is settled in error we will correct it, in both directions, and the correction appears on your statement as its own entry.
Your statement is the complete history of your account. Nothing is removed from it; a correction is an additional entry.
A stake leaves your balance when the bet is accepted and shows as in play until it settles.
We set a minimum and maximum stake and a maximum payout per bet. You can set a lower maximum stake and a daily loss cap for yourself, and those are checked before ours.
There is a ceiling on what a single bet can return, stake included. It is applied when the bet is placed, not when it settles: a slip that could return more than the ceiling is refused there and then, with the figure quoted, so you always know before you commit rather than after you have won.
The ceiling applies per bet. Splitting a bet across several slips to get around it, or across several accounts, is a breach of the section below.
A market or a price offered in error is void, and the stake is returned. That covers a price that is plainly wrong, a market that should not have been open, a selection listed against the wrong fixture, and a bet accepted after the outcome was already known.
It applies whichever way the error fell. We will not keep a stake because an error went our way, and we will not pay out on one because it went yours.
Reporting an error is fine and welcome. Setting out to farm one is not, and is dealt with under fair use.
You can ask us to close your account at any time and we will. We may also close one — for a breach of these terms, on a regulatory requirement, or where we are no longer willing to offer the service. When we close an account the reason is recorded against it and we tell you what it was.
A closed account cannot be signed in to. Every session on it is revoked at the moment it is closed, not when the cookie would have expired. Closure is not a break: if what you want is to stop for a while, ask for a time-limited exclusion instead, which we will not lift early.
Open bets are not cancelled by closure. They stand, and they settle from the fixture in the ordinary way; a return is credited to the account balance as it would have been.
A balance left on a closed account is not paid out automatically — this platform has no payment processing of any kind, so there is nothing here that could pay it. Email support and it is handled as a case, not by a button.
We charge no dormancy fee and nothing on this platform takes money off an idle account. There is no mechanism here that could.
We may close an account that has not been signed in to for [dormancy period], after writing to the email address held on it. Any balance on it is then dealt with as above.
Automated betting, exploiting a pricing or settlement error, and opening more than one account are all grounds for closing an account and voiding the bets involved.
